(ZAF-Cape Town) Tendering Specialist Jobs at – Baker Hughes  in  South Africa 2014

EMPLOYMENT STATUS
6 months renewable contract, Cape Town, South Africa.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Provides geomarket with proposals, tenders, bids and sales support for all business segments.
· Coordinates proposals, tender, bids and sales initiatives to ensure consistent assembly, review and delivery proposals, tenders, and bids.
· Manage tender database and register whilst ensuring daily update on Sales force and other related systems used.
· Assemble, edit, review tender documents to ensure that all tenders are of high quality standards.
· Coordinate legal, tax, HSE, Quality and compliance input reviews for all tenders.
· Update eCRM, TAM and SAP contract management.
· Review ITTs & RFQs and arrange kick-off meetings, set delivery times (task lists.
· Ensure completeness of the tender proposals.
· Ensure e-storage of all tenders, proposals and bids documents
· Ensure bids meet clients/customer requirements.
· Responsible for accuracy of tender input as information will be used to provide winning proposals.
· Takes responsibility for ensuring the client’s questions are addressed and that the completed tender is issued as prescribed in accordance with the deliverable closing date
· Ensure that bids/tender printing materials are sufficient at all times.
· Delivery of proposals.
· Work closely with Marketing & Operations teams.
· Responsible for maintaining data integrity current in the system.
· Works under supervision of more Commercial/BDM managers to learn skills and responsibilities.
· Participates in tenders internal/external audits.
· Professionally communicate with clients/customers and ensure accurate response.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
· Working knowledge of industry and customers, contract statutes and laws, both US and non-US.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Knowledge of policies and procedures of pricing/quotations department.
· Knowledge of product line/systems.
· Bilingual a plus.
· Knowledge of domestic /international law for a particular geographic area.
· Bilingual a plus.
· Ability to travel.
· Knowledge of SAP and Excel.
